Drug & Alcohol Compliance

Carriers with CDL drivers generally need a drug and alcohol testing program that covers required testing types (pre-employment, random, post-accident, and others) and reporting to the FMCSA Clearinghouse.

You don't have to use us. You can complete this yourself by arranging your own testing program and consortium enrollment. Our fee is for preparing and filing it on your behalf.

Who typically needs this

  • Carriers with drivers who operate commercial motor vehicles requiring a CDL
  • New entrants setting up a testing program for the first time
  • Carriers who've had gaps in their testing program

What DOT Compliance Partner handles

  • Setting up a compliant testing program if you don't have one
  • Coordinating required testing types and consortium enrollment
  • Helping you stay current with Clearinghouse reporting

What we'll need from you

  • Driver roster and CDL information
  • Current testing program details, if any exist

How it works

  1. 01

    We review your program

We check what you have in place against what's required for your driver count.

  2. 02

    We fill the gaps

We help set up or correct random testing pools, consortium enrollment and policies.

  3. 03

    We help you maintain it

Ongoing support so testing and reporting stay on schedule.

Deadlines & renewal

Random testing follows an ongoing schedule set by required testing rates, not a single deadline — this is an ongoing program, not a one-time filing.

Common mistakes

  • Not enrolling in a random testing consortium pool
  • Missing required Clearinghouse queries for new drivers
  • Incomplete testing policy documentation

Frequently asked questions

Do owner-operators need a testing program?+

Generally yes, if you hold a CDL and operate a commercial motor vehicle — even as your own company's only driver. We'll confirm what applies to your setup.
